about
I wrote this song on the road, when our RV broke down for the 6th time in a year of traveling and touring the USA and Canada in 2018-2019. We miss life on the road and playing live shows and hope to get back to it soon. I hope this song brings you some joy today!
lyrics
You’re a lady, goin 65
Feet up on the dash ready for the drive
You’re a lady, mansion made of stone
Used to breaking hearts, goin it alone
Tired tendons tired bones
So sick and tired of this old road
Oh winona, why you gotta do me like that
Wanna soldier on but you keep pullin back
Oh winona, change your mind at the drop of a hat
Wanna drive along, but you keep pullin back
Oh winona, oh winona, oh wino-na-no-na-no, oh winona
You’re a lady, been through hell and gas ain’t cheap
Haven’t showered in, haven’t showered in a week
You’re a lady, used to the grind, used to wear and tear
Used to learning lessons, life it isn't fair
Worn out joints and worn out signs
So sick and tired of yellow lines
Dont you go keepin me on my toes
Little did i know little did i know little did i know
